Tom Ellicott lives in Atlanta with his partner Kevin and their rescue pup, Zoë.

Tom's passion in life has always been 'relationship', even when he couldn't make it happen in his own life. A keen observer of same sex partnerships, he's spent years studying relationship principles and interviewing experts and couples on the nature of intimacy. This book is a reflection of that learning.

When he's not writing about relationships, Tom writes about local politics and works with his partner Kevin in their real estate business. Tom's professional background is marked by 19 years of business leadership with Procter & Gamble and Nestlé and 3 years as a non-profit executive. Specializing in business development, marketing and training with P&G and Nestlé, Tom is a seasoned veteran in organizational learning and development strategies. A certified personality assessment expert, Tom has facilitated and been a key speaker at scores of corporate seminars, conferences and training workshops. As a community contributor, Tom has served on the board of directors of several Atlanta area non-profit organizations and government advisory councils.

As a writer, he has seen his political and community interest commentary published in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, The New Orleans Times - Picayune, The Seattle Post Intelligencer, The Miami Herald, POZ Magazine, The Southern Voice, The Washington Blade and The Bay Area Reporter.

Tom's personal story is typical of many gay men. After a much extended adolescence dedicated to revelry, compulsion and consumption, he charted a new, more purposeful course after "growing up" in his late 30's.
